Your eye health comes first to our highly skilled, friendly and professional team; many of whom have been with Ashleigh Sight Care for over 10 years! With branches in Romsey, Southampton/Portswood and Bishops Waltham you can be assured that our expert team with a wide range of specialist skills are highly qualified to look after your visual health. All our professional staff are registered with the General Optical Council and bound by The Opticians Act to ensure their registration is up to date with constant education, training and continuous improvement programs.
Here is a selection of our staff. Some team members are based at one of our branches permanently while others work at a number of our practices.
Dr. Claudia Ashleigh
Claudia is the Company CEO, is fluent in German, speaks a little French and has recently finished researching and trialling Silicone Multifocal Contact Lenses that are designed specifically for people who require distance and reading correction but do not wish to wear glasses. Claudia has a Doctorate in Optometry and, when she gets time between looking after her boys, their home and businesses and garden, is a keen Power Swimmer and tennis player. In 2017, Claudia completed her Doctorate at London South Bank University, specialising in contact lens research and is looking forward to the management of short sight in children and young adults – a method of attempting to control the often-relentless increase in short sight of the growing person. Claudi is an accomplished window dresser, having completely re-designed the front windows at the new Southampton practice.
